A Workshop to Equip Clergy and Lay Chaplains to Respond with Compassion, Knowledge and Truth

This one-day workshop was held February 8, 2024 and included presentations, small and large group discussions, opportunities to ask questions, and skill development sessions.

The presenter was Deacon Larry Worthen, a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth and Executive Director of the Christian Medical and Dental Association of Canada. As a deacon, he has preached and taught workshops on this topic in his Archdiocese and across Canada. With the CMDA Canada since 2012, he has fought for conscience rights for health care professionals and against the legalization of euthanasia in Canada. Deacon Larry is a graduate of Dalhousie Law School and the Atlantic School of Theology.
