The British Columbia provincial government forced a euthanasia facility onto the current St. Paul’s site in November 2023, in response to relentless death-on-demand activism and mainstream media pressure.
The utilitarian-looking structure, which Vancouver Coastal built at an undisclosed cost, is sited inside an interior courtyard of St. Paul’s, which was founded 131 years ago by the Sisters of Providence.
